Redevelopment Strategy, Business Incubator

Business incubators have gained increased demand as a way to address a variety of needs in underserved communities. The National Association of Community Asset Builders (NALCAB) annual conference dedicated a session to the development of incubators “Launching Place-Based Economic Development Projects”. These spaces serve the evolving needs of diverse entrepreneurs by offering targeted resources, education, and access to capital.

Vamos’ combined work in business development, commercial property improvements, and community capacity building presented an opportunity to be engaged as a Project Manager with an organization seeking to identify site options and create materials to support the model of a proposed incubator. The facility would serve as a coworking hub, training facility and community gathering space. Our collaboration included team scheduling, market research, design input, as well as the below support.

  • AnalyzING VACANT sites with development potential
  • PROPERTY DUE DILIGENCE AND REDEVELOPMENT OPTIONS
  • measurING community impact BY IDENTIFYING CAPACITY BUILDING INITIATIVES
  • BRANDING IDENTITY USED FOR DIGITAL MATERIALS
  • FUNDRAISING CONTENT AND A PROPOSAL Presentation used in council meetings
  • FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS for the acquisition, SPACE build-out, and ANNUAL operations
  • RECOMMENDATIONS FOR team RECRUITMENT & development for A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH
